"Empowering Dreams: Pratibha Devi's Journey from Financial Struggles to Entrepreneurial Success"
Pratibha Devi, a 40-year-old
resident of Mahamadpur village in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, faced considerable
financial challenges with her husband, Nandlal, working as a skilled labourer
to support their family of seven. Their children's education suffered due to
these financial constraints, prompting Pratibha to take matters into her own
hands.
Pratibha decided to establish a Dona
and Pattal manufacturing business and obtained a loan of Rs. 30,000. With
determination and hard work, she set up her workshop and employed three
laborers. Initially earning between ₹18,000
to ₹20,000 per month,
Pratibha aspired to expand her business to secure her family's future.
A turning point came when she
received support from the Utkarsh Welfare Foundation. The foundation assisted
her in formalizing her business, registering it as an MSME and setting up a
bank account. Additionally, Pratibha obtained a ₹30,000 loan to further grow her
enterprise.
She says, “I am grateful to Utkarsh
Welfare Foundation for providing me with an opportunity to strengthen my
business. Now, my income has been increased up to Rs 30000/- per month and I am
giving job opportunities to 6 labourers.”
Pratibha's inspiring journey
showcases the transformative power of determination, financial assistance and
support from organizations like the Utkarsh Welfare Foundation. Her success
story serves as a beacon of hope for individuals looking to overcome financial
hurdles and achieve their entrepreneurial dreams.
