Utkarsh Welfare Foundation sets-up Smart Classes in Inter College & Govt. Primary Schools of Pindra & Harhua, Varanasi

Utkarsh Welfare Foundation has setup four (04) smart classes in three (3) government primary school of Harhua & Pindra Block, and one (01) Intermediate college of Harhua, Varanasi on December 22, 2022 as a part of its Village Development Program.


Previously, UWF had setup smart classes in five (05) villages of Arajilines block through which more than 1,100 children are getting benefitted. The event was attended by the senior management of Utkarsh Small Finance Bank Limited (USFBL), Utkarsh Welfare Foundation, Utkarsh CoreInvest Limited and Basic Education Department, Uttar Pradesh. The chief guest of this event was Shri Amit Dubey, ABSA-Harhua, Varanasi. Speaking at the function, Shri Dubey said, “It is heartening to see the assistance being extended towards upgradation of the primary school infrastructure for a bright future of the children and for the benefit of the society. Such development of School infrastructure goes a long way to facilitate access to digital learning environment and enhance community access to digital way of learning and interaction for children.”


Shri Govind Singh, MD & CEO of USFBL said, “Utkarsh Welfare Foundation has been at the forefront in providing education, health and vocational training programmes, empowering people at grassroot level. The Foundation has undertaken significant initiatives under corporate social responsibility to provide rural children with access to technology enabled education for experiential learning.” Mr. Singh also mentioned to enhance and improve the facilities at these institutions.


The village Pradhan Shri Bholanath Patel was thanked for his notable support, by Ms. Sushma Sharma, COO of UWF, for taking an active participation in this exercise. “UWF will continue performing such sort of activities that would cater to the community for their well-being,” she said.


Besides Shri Bhola Nath Patel (Village Pradhan, Saraikaji), the programme was also attended by Smt. Sunita Singh (Principal, Saraikaji), Shri Sanjay Sharma (Principal, War, Pindra), Dr. N. S. Yadav (Principal, Kashi Krishak Inter College) and Shri Chandra Bhushan Mishra (Principal, Garhwa, Harhua, Varanasi).
