Village Development Program

Nirupama Nayak, a 38-year-old woman from a tribal community, resides in Adakhandia village in Khordha district, Odisha. She faced challenging circumstances as her family relied solely on labor work and lacked a stable source of income. Although she previously attempted to run a poultry business, it failed due to insufficient training and knowledge, resulting in financial losses and a loss of hope.
Through the UWF driven Village Development Program (VDP), Nirupama received specialized training and free chicks to help her restart her poultry venture.
Expressing her gratitude, Nirupama shared, “I am very happy that Utkarsh Welfare Foundation empowered me to rebuild my poultry business. The capacity-building training on poultry farming provided was extremely beneficial, enhancing my knowledge and enabling me to manage the business effectively. I am deeply thankful to Utkarsh for helping me regain my confidence and become self-sufficient.”
