Financial Awareness
E-Clinics

Neetu Devi, a 29-year-old homemaker from Madhepura, Bihar, faced financial challenges in saving and securing the future and planning for her family's financial well-being. Despite her husband's monthly income of ₹12,000, they struggled to save money, due to lack of financial awareness and knowledge about the social protection schemes. However, Neetu's life took a positive turn when she participated in the Financial Awareness program conducted by Utkarsh Welfare Foundation (UWF).
Through the three-days’ training program, Neetu eagerly absorbed valuable knowledge on financial planning, savings, insurance, digital banking and various government schemes aimed at social security and empowerment. She gained insights into the importance of financial planning, the benefits of savings and investing, and the available avenues to secure her family's future.
Armed with this knowledge, Neetu took proactive steps to plan and implement from what all she had learned. She opted for a Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) endowment plan, where she invests a monthly sum of ₹3,060 for future savings with a life safety cover. This strategic investment ensures financial security and provides a solid foundation for her family’s long-term goals.
Neetu's transformation from financial illiteracy to financial empowerment is a testament to the impact of Utkarsh Welfare Foundation's Financial Awareness program. Through education and practical training, Neetu gained the confidence and understanding to make informed financial decisions, secure her family's future, and now coming out of the financial hardships.
