Ensuring accessibility with affordability for improved menstrual well-being

Priyanka Kumari, a resident of Rajpur village, Varanasi, faced challenges during her menstrual cycle due to lack of affordable sanitary pads. However, her life took a positive turn when she discovered the vending machine installed in the E-Clinic premises, offering sanitary pads for 1 rupee per pad. Adorned with posters promoting women’s health, the vending machine became a beacon of hope for Priyanka and many others in the village.

Finally, Priyanka found a cost-effective solution to her menstrual needs, relieving her from the burden of resorting to unhygienic alternatives. Word spread quickly throughout the village, and more girls started visiting the E-Clinic to avail the affordable sanitary pads. Priyanka's friends and neighbours also experienced the positive impact of this initiative, bringing a wave of change to their lives. No longer did they have to compromise on hygiene and well-being during their menstruation. The vending machine in the E-Clinic became a powerful symbol of progress, inspiring the neighbouring communities to advocate for similar solutions.

Beyond providing access to affordable sanitary pads, this initiative promoted awareness, education, and empowerment among the girls and women of Rajpur. The Foundation’s dedicated efforts helped make a significant improvement in the overall well-being and quality of life for rural women.
